Help...lsat 4th time
I took the LSAT Dec 2010, Feb 2011, and June 2011.
I canceled the first two, and didn't do as well as I wanted to in June. I'm 100% sure I can do better. I ended up guessing "D" on the entire RC section due to a severe migraine...There is an OBVIOUS discrepancy between my other sections and the last one...
Will LSAC let me retake a 4th time for this reason alone? I need help...

IDK, I don't work for LSAC, and I believe no one else here does as well. Call/Write them up.Susan_Walid wrote:I took the LSAT Dec 2010, Feb 2011, and June 2011.

Although the migraine is a decent excuse, you still need to think of one for why you cancelled the first 2 tests

Schools can sponsor you to take the test past your 3rd time. I'm not quite sure how the process works though.

Not anymore - LSAC eliminated that loophole in June.minnbills wrote:Schools can sponsor you to take the test past your 3rd time. I'm not quite sure how the process works though.
OP, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think it's gonna fly. It's always worth a shot, though. Good luck.

Re: Help...lsat 4th time
Schools are no longer allowed to petition LSAC on behalf of a student for a 4th retake. The policy changed around the end of June regarding this. You must now send all requests through LSAC instead. All hope is not lost, though. The process just wont be as easy as it used to be.
Good luck!

Re: Help...lsat 4th time
From what I've heard from people inside LSAC, the main concerns were that the process was extremely haphazard and unfair when in the hands of law schools. They centralized it so they could actually determine whether or not a fourth attempt is going to help the student.
I'd contact them about it, though I'd also prepare documentation regarding your migraines. The feeling I get is that it won't be as difficult as getting accommodated testing, but they'll still want some type of proof to clear the hurdle.

A friend on here just tried to petition for a 4th take. Didn't work. I doubt it will be successful, but you should obv try anyway

What was your friend's reasoning for wanting to retake a 4th time?
