Just looking for some general thoughts...
Is it advantageous to take a year off between the end of grad school (MA, 3.5) to allow for thesis publication, etc., or is the extra year unnecessary?
General info: 3.0 UG GPA from Regional Tier II, 160 LSAT June 2009, very strong soft factors/leadership, etc.
I plan on of course studying to score higher on LSAT, only applying to T1 schools and my local T2 state school--no acceptances there, not going anywhere.

It's not necessary, but it might be advantageous for you to avoid academic burn out. You know yourself best, if you need/want to take a year off and work, then do so.
