addendums for...

Post by magicdonquan » Tue Jul 19, 2011 12:00 pm

In regards to expressing your interest in a particular school within an application...

Should this be included in the personal statement, or would you write a short addendum explaining why you are particularly interested in the school? (I'm sure people carry different opinions on this, but would like to see what the general consensus is). Thanks!

Normally, this is called a Why X essay, not an addendum (which is to clarify a negative issue in your past).

Some school invite you to submit such an essay and some specifically ask you to limit sending additional materials. So, really, it depends on where you are applying.

Why "X School" essays are usually a good idea even if schools do not explicitly ask for one.

should have all the info you need

Also don't write a why x for the t6 unless explicitly asked.
