Anyone W/ Experience as a Grad Assistant during Law School?

I have been looking for ways to finance my legal education and believe that I could be a great asset as a graduate assistant in various departments. I realize that many law schools will not permit you to work and earn your law degree, and that it would be very strenuous. However, I was wondering if anyone has any insight to this or experience with doing so. Thanks!
