Emailed a bunch of schools. Vanderbilt said CRS only, but to tell them if I wasn't participating in CRS. Do you think I should respond saying I don't think it is working? It sounds arrogant to expect to get fee waivers though.

Ugh, and on one I put the wrong school name. Hopefully it'll be good for a laugh and then ignored.

Took the Feb LSAT and just got my first fee waiver yesterday, via snail mail, for Baylor.

Lol no.... Don't say that it's not working to a school.... Did you take the June LSAT or one from earlier? If the latter, then make sure the CRS is set to the correct cycle.chem wrote:Emailed a bunch of schools. Vanderbilt said CRS only, but to tell them if I wasn't participating in CRS. Do you guys think the fact that I put the wrong school name in one of the emails will hurt my future application?

Haha, I know I was probably unduly concerned. I just read the Dean interviews, where it said in the personal statement the quickest way to get rejected is to have the wrong name in the PS, so I wondered if they were similar.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Lol, this.naterj wrote:LOL no? Think I could ask for a fee waiver again from them? When they emailed me back they said thanks for the email, we will forward this to the right school

I'd probably just pay the application fee and put that little mishap behind me.chem wrote:Think I could ask for a fee waiver again from them? When they emailed me back they said thanks for the email, we will forward this to the right school

Yes, the quickest way to get rejected is to have an LSAT 15 points below median, a GPA 1 point below median, and to not be a URM.Dany wrote:^not truechem wrote:Haha, I know I was probably unduly concerned. E-mailed UIUC and got this:
Not sure if this means that as long as you apply you get the waiver, or all students are able to apply (instead of just going through CRS). Thoughts? We are offering an application fee waiver to all applicants this year. Just apply online beginning September 1.

NP. Speaking of you, I think you should start the NU Applicants 2012 thread. I don't mean you should do it ASAP (although NYU does already have one), but just that you should be the one to start it since it's your first choice and you're Amy f-ing Pond, so yea.crumpetsandtea wrote:Oh cool! A little surprised that people have already made 2012 threads. Makes me jelly.descartesb4thehorse wrote: NP. Speaking of you, I think you should start the NU Applicants 2012 thread. HP, no one's stopping you. NYU's the only one up I think.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:A little surprised that people have already made 2012 threads. Makes me jelly.descartesb4thehorse wrote: NP. I personally think it would be hilarious if you just thread-bombed and made one for the rest of the T14 before 6am.

And after a series of escalating dares... HP takes over the lives of all of the T14 applicants for 2012.

Well, I thread-bombed and made one for every school I'm applying to (excluding NYU and Harvard which were already created)descartesb4thehorse wrote:I personally think it would be hilarious if you just thread-bombed and made one for the rest of the T14 before 6am.

Good job, Gob. (And I don't hand that moniker out lightly.) I can't say I didn't enjoy it. And I think it's nice to have a consistent thread title/first post for all the schools. Makes it look purdy.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Well, I thread-bombed and made one for every school I'm applying to (excluding NYU and Harvard which were already created)descartesb4thehorse wrote:I personally think it would be hilarious if you just thread-bombed and made one for the rest of the T14 before 6am.
