Those make me sad. Especially from the unranked schools.Opie wrote:I got one from Charlotte today that mentions my specific GPA and LSAT score and as far as I can tell GUARANTEES a scholarship. Desperation.

One from UC Boulder, and Denver today as well as Howard. Really wish I could at least find some old threads to see how the T-14 does their CRS checkups. Thinking it has to be at least bi weekly for most.

Did your e-mail also include a $2,000 offer to cover your moving expenses to Charlotte? I find that a little sketchy??Opie wrote:I got one from Charlotte today that mentions my specific GPA and LSAT score and as far as I can tell GUARANTEES a scholarship. Desperation.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
I didn't get the $2k for moving. Charlotte is only provisionally accredited, so I can see why they would be doing this, but seriously? They are offering $31k and I haven't even expressed an interest in their school.kennethellenparcell wrote:Did your e-mail also include a $2,000 offer to cover your moving expenses to Charlotte? I got nothing from BC or ND or UC Boulder. Booo. But on the bright side, successfully solicited Michigan!

Was that merit or need based?DonnaDraper wrote:I got nothing from BC or ND or UC Boulder. Booo. But on the bright side, successfully solicited Michigan!
Just got Indiana today, think I'm gonna have to suck it up and find a way to pay for Mich / NYU by Friday. waiting to hear back from Mich about my need based waiver but my apps almost done so I don't think I want to wait too much longer.

BOOOOM. Just got Columbia, need based so I don't know how much it will help others, I wasn't considered in first round of CRS waves since my app went out late, but I applied for a need based one and thankfully Columbia uses actual common sense to judge finances and not some absurd LSAC measure. I'm so grateful right now, this just made my dayyyyyyyyy.
Wow, today is really looking to be my day. Just got waivers from tulane and Miami as well. Hope everyone else is as fortunate today.

If it's helpful to anyone else, UCLA was also extremely reasonable about their need-based waivers.hyakku wrote:BOOOOM. Can also add g town to that list. Just got a need based from them, theyre very kind and quick, and the adcomm response personally. Nice touch from gtown, and while they aren't my top they are definitely really the only school I'm heavily considering on the east coast outside of NYU / cls so they're making a good impression

DePaul just now.
Also... Wisconsin is very reasonable in their needs based waivers. They gave me one even though I work and make a decent salary because they ask you to explain your financial situation at the moment.

Hidden Penn waiver today
Very happy since I'm kind of on a budget and really wanted to apply
edit: and hidden USC. nice because I prob wasn't going to apply without one since UCLA already waived earlier.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
I have only had the CRS thing on for about a week and a half, unfortunately, and my two fee waivers are University of Denver and UPenn in that time. Go figure. Do we know what schools look for, exactly? Seems a very random process.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
Figure I'd update this.
Since last post:
Columbia gave me a need based, but when I applied mine was already waived and I didn't have to use their code, so I think I got a merit based one later.
Cornell
BC
UMiami
USC (Got one for going here + merit it said)
Houston Law
Mercer Law
Loyola LA
St. Johns
Tulane
Kentucky
Indiana
Pace
Think those are all that I didn't get listed. Really hoping for one from Chicago, glad Cornell gave me one.

I got Penn State today - my first few waiver in a couple of months.
I wonder if they're worried people won't be applying?

Also got PSU. I had figured they would have sent me one earlier seeing as how I'm a PSU student. Not that I'm applying there anyway.AntipodeanPhil wrote:I got Penn State today - my first few waiver in a couple of months.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
UT Austin and Dayton this morning. Has anyone heard from chicago recently? Trying to gather some funds up now to pay for this but I'd really like to know if they are doing waivers still before today's end or tomorrow.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
