Big thick addendum

Post by jesspaletsky » Tue Jun 28, 2011 4:57 pm

I am deciding what should and should not go into addendum:

Can I put an article about a fellowship I received?

***** ALSO I took the GMAT and got in the 98% percentile this was before I got my MBA, should I include that in the addendum as a bragging point?

No.

The addendum is to explain something negative about your application (like a low GPA, multiple LSAT scores, disciplinary actions, etc.). The smaller the addendum, the better.

I think you're misinterpreting what an addendum is for. It's not an extension of your resume or a personal scrapbook. It's an opportunity to explain something odd about your application. Usually people use them to explain a brush with the law, or bad grades, or a break in your academic career.

Put the GMAT score and the name of the fellowship on your resume in the education section. Do not include either in an addendum.
