What percentage of T-14 grads....
What actual amount of T-14 graduates get jobs in Big Law. I've been hearing a variety of answers from friends and even lawyers. So, how hard is it? Also, what would be a good plan to get into big law, as in internships, work experience, etc.

While aliarrow's graphs are awesomeness itself, remember that they are for the class of 2009, and that the classes of 2010 and 2011 got screwed.bhan87 wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 1&t=150681joefow91 wrote:What actual amount of T-14 graduates get jobs in Big Law. 2010 big law hiring data: http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNL ... OLS_REPORT
Too lazy to do the math, but at a rough estimate, I'd say around 40-45% of all T14 grads, ranging from 59% to 30%, depending on the school.

Basically, get the highest grades possible at the highest school possible, research your job search and be aggressive about it, polish your resume and interview skills, get a good 1L summer gig (most 1L jobs are unpaid, so something like a judicial externship), and do Law Review. And assume that everyone around you is doing the same.joefow91 wrote:I see, hopefully this economy will get better over the next few years. thanks
I'm just a 0L, but this is what I've gleaned from TLS.

Sounds good. Also, everyone seems to be saying that the legal field is saturated. Yet, we should all remember that every field is very competitive nowadays. For gods sake even doctors and accountants are having trouble finding work. Science people can't get decent jobs without PhD's....
