Hello, I'm sure this has been asked before, as people do anything possible to better their chance of acceptance into a school.
I have been wait-listed at a school, but want to send them a follow up letter to show them that I would really prefer going to their school. I know the typical response may be that sucking up never gets anyone anywhere, but has anyone ever written a letter to follow up a wait-list and been accepted, or known anyone doing such things?
Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for the advice, oh wait, there isn't any.
Yes, I'm sorry if it seems "not-serious" but I'm genuinely asking if this is advisable as I know some people whom have written letters to schools (not law schools, but graduate programs) and they were accepted -granted I don't know what got them in, their credentials and/or the letter.
