LOR Advice

Post by achilles1234 » Sat May 14, 2011 2:11 pm

I have an LOR from last year that I was hoping to use this year but the recommendation includes the specific year for which i was applying i.e. "i recommend this applicant for the 2011 admissions cycle"---if i'm applying for fall 2012, should i get an updated one or is it irrelevant?

I would get an updated one that doesn't include a reference to a particular admissions cycle. You don't want to have to go back to your recommender a third time if for some reason you end up not applying next cycle.
