First, why did you apply to schools that you had no interest in attending?
Second, there are plenty of threads pertaining to writing a LOCI.
This one is particularly good.

Usually I would tell you to use the "search function" more resourcefully but since you're a newbie I forgive you.

Send in the extra LOR, write a LOCI, and update your resume if you have extra work experience.

Re: Seeking advice, waitlisted at numerous schools!
I got in off a WL, so I'll try to help:
Make sure the school knows that you're very interested in attending. Write a LOCI tailored to that school and be as genuine as possible. I would even try to check in with emails every 3 weeks or so, just letting them know - hey i'm still interested + tell them about any recent accomplishments/updates.
The additional LOR can't hurt.
I don't think visiting the schools will help you much. But if you have the means to do so, again, it can't hurt

Those family friend LoRs won't be particularly helpful. Stick with the work LoR, the LOCI, and a visit, if possible. While not necessarily a huge help, every once in awhile a visit results in admission if you talk to the right people and make a great impression.Winningthelotto wrote:I have a question.. Other than the LOR from the attorney I have been interning for should I ask some fairly recent graduates that are family friends for LOR? Most have graduated the schools I`ve been WLed at about 5-8 years ago..
