Do schools email you when you miss the deposit deadline?

Post by aceinthehold » Mon May 02, 2011 9:01 pm

I let a deadline pass for a school that I decided not to attend (last minute). Do schools usually email you acknowledging that you're application has been withdrawn? Or do you still have to notify them that you will not be attending...

I let one deadline lapse and I did indeed get an email from that school informing me that my name was withdrawn from their class roster and my admissions offer was rescinded. But they also let me know I could contact them if I thought I had received this email in error.

Was it a day or two after the deadline? or a while longer... if you remember...

Why not just take 30 seconds and send them an email confirming your withdrawal?
