Question on Bachelor's Degree Courseload

Post by Finalflash013 » Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:47 pm

Just a quick question. I'm currently a Junior going for my bachelor's degree, about to register for classes for my senior year. I have already taken the LSAT and plan to attend law school immediately after I receive my bachelors, sending out my applications fall of this year. I received a number of AP credits in high school, to the point where I'd be able to take 3 courses my next to semesters rather than the traditional four. I'm still a full time student if I take this number of classes. I was wondering if this would effect my acceptance or standing with law schools (taking three classes instead of four while still being a full time student) It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have a couple of easier semesters before the hell that inevitably will be law school. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

No problem whatsoever, they just care that you end up getting your degree.

Won't matter a bit. However, it might be a chance to take something brainless and easy (possibly even fun?) to boost your GPA a teeny bit.

Actually have a 4.0 right now, haha. Thanks for the advise though. If I didn't I probably would, but it'll be easier to maintain with only 3.

I am doing this right now. I took 3 classes last semester, and 2 this semester. It gave me time to apply, study for LSAT and enjoy my last year of UG in DC. I also got to work and make a ton of $$. Also, just got good scholly to my top choice.

It's worked out well for me. You'll have fun.

You just made me feel a whole lot better deciding to take an extra year to do what you did. Congrats

I got a 160 on the December test. A bit disappointing because I was PTing at 165, but I'm going to take it again in the June.
