ED to UVA or NU
I know it's a ways off from next cycle, but I have been doing some thinking about where I would like to spend three years, and while I would love Chicago, I have been more and more interested in UVA lately. The question is whether it is worth ED'ing there with my numbers since I am fairly sure this will prevent me from using ED at NU.
LSAC GPA: 2.79
LSAT: 173
Looking at LSN it seems like UVA has a pretty hard 3.0 GPA floor. So is it worth the risk? I am guessing no.
EDIT: Spelling

you guessed right... I had this same debate last year with a sub 3.0 GPA, went with NU, got in. NU's policy doesn't allow you to ED anywhere else, but it's the only T13 that will give you a serious look if your GPA is below 3.0, and you're probably not going to get in RD.

Going off of LSN, looks like UVA is gonna be tough. Northwestern shows a likely WL, so I guess if I had to bet one one, I'd go with NU.

If 1+ years of full time postgrad work exp: NU
If no years work exp: you're not getting either.

I have a worse GPA, better LSAT, and VA residency, lots of great WE. I got into NU RD and was WL at UVA ED. FWIW FYI HTH ABCDEFG.mjcaccio wrote:I know it's a ways off from next cycle, but I have been doing some thinking about where I would like to spend three years, and while I would love Chicago, I have been more and more interested in UVA lately. Your profile is confusing. Is the 173 a retake? Are you only waiting for next cycle because you want to ED? Did you apply late this cycle?
