Started bachelor's abroad.
I started my bachelor's degree in Australia but finished in the USA. Do I have to get a transcript from my first foreign school?

Re: Masters Degree from Abroad
You need to send it to LSAC. They will process it and convert your grades into the US gpa system.

Re: Masters Degree from Abroad
I recently had to deal with this. I e-mailed LSAC with the information, they generated a transcript request form, and I paid for the transcript to be sent to LSAC.Seoulless wrote:I have a Masters Degree from a foreign country. My BA is from the US.
Do I send this transcript out individually to the schools? I am under the impression LSAC only takes transcripts for US MAs.
The whole process from requesting a transcript, LSAC receiving the transcript, processing, posting, and sending the transcript to schools took almost 6 weeks. This was obviously much longer than my UG transcripts.
On the bright side, out of the 9 schools I applied to only 1 requested my MA transcripts.

So are you saying it isn't automatically sent to the schools via LSAC?

I believe there is. I just did this in the fall, and I printed a cover sheet from the LSAC website.Seoulless wrote:There is no option to send a non-US sponsored foreign masters transcript.théo wrote:You need to send it to LSAC. They will process it and convert your grades into the US gpa system.

It's sent via LSAC, it just takes forever. I originally didn't even include my MA transcripts, because I was in a hurry, and most schools didn't require them since it wasn't a US grad school. LSAC doesn't even process these transcripts under the usual graduate school section, they're processed as an international institution.Seoulless wrote:EstboundNDwn wrote:

Started bachelor's abroad. Master's from abroad.
Did they convert the grades to American style, or leave them as is.EstboundNDwn wrote:

You printed a cover sheet and sent it in along with your transcript or you sent it to your institution to send along with your transcript?
Where can I find this cover sheet?

They left the grades as they were. I went to a British school, so they also included an additional sheet with a box that detailed the GPA equivalents; and since England also has different classes of degrees (first honors, 2:1, 2:2, etc.) they included a box detailing those US equivalents.Seoulless wrote:Did they convert the grades to American style, or leave them as is.EstboundNDwn wrote:
