Letter of Diminished Interest
Dear Dean N. Decisive and members of the committee:
I wish to express my caritive interest in attending your law school. On September 1, 2010 when I submitted my application, I was being proactive. After six months of having my completed application in hand, apparently a decision is too much to ask of you.
I paid an application fee to your institution in exchange for the review of my application. I believe it is reasonable to assume that such a review should not take six months. Although it is non-traditional to ask for a refund of my application fee, I am a non-traditional student - so I believe the request is appropriate.
If the administrative hurdles of issuing a refund are as difficult as making a decision, please consider the alternative of sending me a gift card to McDonalds. The McRib is scheduled for its seasonal return and I can surely eat $60 worth of them.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
Nomo Patience

Clearly this is not serious, and I think it is actually kinda witty. Definitely a good way to vent... applying to law school can be frustrating.

If your credentials were so good, then maybe Cornell wouldn't have taken so damn long to make a decision.parsi wrote:if cornell didnt take so damn long, maybe they wouldnt be trolled againstduckmoney wrote:+1whymeohgodno wrote:dpk711 wrote:egregious anti-Cornell trolling

I don't think credentials matter. There are 170/3.8+ people still waiting for a decision.

Re: Letter of Diminished Interest
I have a few schools I would like to send this to.
At least if a Cornell application was submitted on September 1, you know it was reviewed for Early Action, right? Meanwhile, USC intends to ignore many of the applications completely until mid-May. And who even knows what Emory is up to.

CoughNYUCough
Although I know a WL is coming, so that *almost* takes the sting out of it...can you imagine if you didn't have TLS? You would just be waiting in limbo until April for a freaking WL.
