She also wanted to know if she should include her hobbies, interests, etc. A short list would include: Music, dancing, BBQ ribs, rapping, anthropologies [sic], the law, and hangin' out with peeps.

What color was the construction paper?
To be helpful, you could suggest she add "Fluent Spanish."

She sounds like an SNL character or something.

Oh, by the way: she picked up the phrase "side bar" from various legal dramas she's been watching (probably F&B). Sometimes she uses it when she wants to talk privately, but often substitutes "side bar, bitch!" for "hey, let's go."

180, Verity. Don't care if she is real or not. This is hilarious.
I think the construction paper lends a nice touch. It's useful, durable, and most of all- hot pink. This is incredibly useful for catching the recruiter's eye. Also, bonus points if they can smell it before they see it. This builds intrigue. Cursive handwriting is becoming a lost art and really should begin its reemergence in the professional world. It's a personal touch that really shows that she cares.
Assuming she will get the interview, which obvs she will since no one turns down the REAL Elle Woods, she will need to have the perfect outfit to wear. I think she needs some of those stripper heels with the coin/dollar bill slot. She needs to show that she can 'make it rain'. It would be an absolute travesty to get this far and then disappoint in person. Perhaps she and the lawyer can get mani/pedis and trade witty legal reparte as part of the interview process?
Red Polish? Objection, Bitch!
Sustained...pink it is...
?????
Profit.

Their application is actually pretty intense (one question asks for a brief autobiography of your political and social life) and they require an interview by a tribunal of their admissions staff. They are also pretty upfront about how applicants should not expect to make high incomes, and that they want students who are ready to serve the underprivileged in the community. I think it would be hasty to write this school off as another degree mill.

Indeed, they are very frank, but unfortunately they are not accredited, only licensedamg414 wrote:Their application is actually pretty intense (one question asks for a brief autobiography of your political and social life) and they require an interview by a tribunal of their admissions staff. Tuition is only $4,000 a year. Surely they're not pocketing much.

I think the OP's friend would still have a better shot at Cooley, unless she spins the hookup with the Kmart guy as community service.thederangedwang wrote:Indeed, they are very frank, but unfortunately they are not accredited, only licensedamg414 wrote:Their application is actually pretty intense (one question asks for a brief autobiography of your political and social life) and they require an interview by a tribunal of their admissions staff. This place makes Cooley seem alright.
By the way, now that she's unemployed, Rico hasn't been calling. I'm almost certain he got dibs on her meager checks these past few weeks (she's got that whole subservient Latina mentality when it comes to guys). Consequently, she's mentioned the possibility taking him on Judge Mathis (who she has a little crush on). She kind of joked about it first, but then asked me the same question two minutes later, more urgently. I think she's getting serious. You may all see her on TV soon.

"areyouinsane has writing talent, and some great stories to tell. If he's a well-executed flame, then, wow, that's fucking impressive. +1 for the book deal. I mean, what else does he have to do?
