You’re idiots. Simple, little, moronic idiots. You hate Texas, a state most of you have never visited and hopefully never will, because of a past U.S. president and a reputation built by the media, movies, and sound bites from an idiot of a governor.
If you’d actually lived or spent enough time in Austin, the location of UT School of Law, you’d know that you’re more likely to see two bare-foot lesbians walking down the street, wearing Obama shirts than you are to see anything resembling a cowboy.
If you went to UT you’d know that placement is in fact national for those in the top 10% and also national for those above median with local ties (everyone else is f*cked, just like they are at UCLA and Vandy). You’d also know that because in-state tuition remains less than 30K a year, you’re probably less f*cked than the similarly positioned shmuck at Vandy or Georgetown.
If you were fortunate enough to have good grades, you would probably know that 160K in Texas would carry you a lot farther than 160K in New York or Los Angeles, and you’d certainly enjoy your awesome cost of living in one of the most kick ass cities in the US.
If you went to UT you’d wonder why the same people who advise others to mind their debt when choosing a law school would have a problem with a very quality law school with an excellent price entering the “hallowed grounds of the T14.”
If you went to Texas you would realize that as happy as you may be to know that your school is now “T14”, no one else at UT really cares, you still have no lay prestige (even in your own state), your job prospects are the same, and the only people who do care are non-residents at other law schools.
But I’m sure that none of this makes any difference to you people because you’re not the type to let little things like facts get in the way of your perfectly good stereotype. And why is that? Because you’re simple, little, moronic idiots. You’ve never been to Texas and you hopefully never will. And it’s better than way. We don’t want you here because you’d probably just f*ck up everything anyway.
You may all go to hell; I shall remain in Texas.
