Can we just wait until the rankings come out and discuss it then? These threads are getting out of control.

I'll bite. I think that the new NLJ, and other, rankings portend a significant climb for Ga State. I think they might be in for a 10-spot jump.

NLJ rankings don't mean shit when it comes to USNWR. Really, the only employment numbers that matter are at graduation and 9 months out, both of which are gamed very easily.cmraider wrote:I'll bite. Single year rankings changes are completely an utterly meaningless to a prospective law student. The only potentially worthwhile question is what schools will be better/more poorly regarded 10-20 years from now. No law school is going to have a rankings change meaningful enough to change employment prospects in the time it would take to graduate.

http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/c ... yment-dataTo eliminate some of the gaming that seems to be taking place, we have changed the way we compute employment rates for the rankings due out March 15. In addition, we will also be publishing more career data than we have in the past in an effort to help students more completely understand the current state of legal employment. We think more still needs to be done.
Who knows what any of that means? But should be interesting to watch.
