Does Harvard interview all candidates who are eventually admitted (can you be admitted without receiving a phone interview), or does it only interview borderline candidates?
What do people usually talk about during this phone interview, and what are some pitfalls to avoid?

Re: Harvard phone interview
You have to have a JR1 (phone interview) to get the JR2 (phone call acceptance). There have been no exceptions as far as I am aware.
So yes, all admitted students are interviewed.

Re: Harvard phone interview
It's the initial phone interview. Everyone being seriously considered for admission to Harvard gets one. The odds of getting an acceptance without getting a JR1 are extraordinarily low, to the point that I don't think it would ever happen except in extremely unusual circumstances.Miracle wrote:What does JR1 mean?
