Is it easier for Women or Men to get into law school?
Do law school's take lower LSAT scores for women (similar to URM) in relation to men?
Just in case you don;t understand me: for ex. a law school would take a dude with a 160 and a girl with a 158 as if they scored the same?

No! I think females might get the edge when ALL THINGS are equal, but in all honesty (coming from a male) they aught to. There are fewer women than men in law so it is in everyone's interest.

i see you are a male. if you get a sex change operation you would probably be able to get by with a lower lsat score.

If it was going to be one way it would probably be easier for men since less men go to college than women.

Yeah, the answer is no, but this doesn't seem like such a ridiculous question to me. Colleges are starting to see a huge unbalance, with females outscoring males.AreJay711 wrote:If it was going to be one way it would probably be easier for men since less men go to college than women.
That said, I think (maybe I'm wrong) most law schools are about even, with a slightly higher percentage of males. I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see this change in coming years, though.

I know there is no benefit for men but I agree that there is potential for men to be underrepresented in the future. The only reason it might not happen is because of cultural gender norms. Lawyers are supposed to argumentative assholes which is more socially acceptable for men than women. It will be interesting to see what happens, I think.arism87 wrote:Yeah, the answer is no, but this doesn't seem like such a ridiculous question to me. Interesting point. Or maybe it will happen and us asshole females will just be ostracized and hopelessly single. Sigh.

Meh. Women will take their role as societal overlords eventually here. I hope it happens soon, because men are doing a terrible job of it.achilles wrote:wow i was going to bold the same thing and comment. guess i'll plan on being less socially acceptable and single as wellarism87 wrote:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no boost for GLBT
not even your sex change would help you.
