Anyone get any acceptances with a LSAT score at or below a 25%, and a GPA at or above the median?

Depends a lot on the school, but typically it doesn't happen without URM status or something stellar in your application.

Depends a lot on the school, but typically it doesn't happen without URM status or something stellar in your application.

I would define stellar as a Rhodes, military award, significant publication, etc...

It does not seem that that 1.5 yr WE will help you out.

How about if you fall within the range for LSAT (eg, LSAT 156 with their lowest being 155 and GPA 3.8 above the 75% mark) good softs, LORS

I think your GPA should give you some extra weight. From everything I've seen, it looks like there's really no way to predict it. In creating this thread, I was looking for some people who have gotten actual acceptances. And then deciding if some other factors came into play: a plus PS, legal WE, LOR's from attorneys, etc. I'm trying to see if schools actually want people who've experienced the law, or it's 100% about the #'s.

Without knowing where you're talking about, I'm just gonna say you're probably out. While the 75%ile is usually just above median, the 25%ile is usually way below median. I'm gonna guess you're, what, 5-8 points below median?

Some schools I'm only 1-3 points below the median. But's tough to say because I'm also applying PT. I know PT programs loosen restrictions a bit. I did list some schools above.

I'd say your IN at Miami with little doubt. Are you a FL resident?

If your LSAT is not just 1-3 points below FT median, I would say you have good chances at a PT accept.

I was believe I was below the 25th percentile in LSAT and above the 75th for GPA. Oh, I was also WL at GW, and I'm way below the 25th on LSAT there.

EDIT: I also got into Northeastern with $$ and I think I'm right at their 25th.

I'm really torn about where I will go. I'm also waiting on UNC....I'm in-state there and at their 25th for LSAT and 75th for GPA. American has sent me an email encouraging me to apply for their PIPS scholarship (I believe that's what it's called). I haven't heard anything about money from anyone except Northeastern, I think I won't hear anything until I fill out Need Access/FAFSA. If no money from anywhere and I get into UNC, I'll go there because tuition is only $17k a year and I'm kind of debt-averse.

I'm not sure. I'm in a tricky situation now (as I'm sure many are). My parents will not be supporting me, and they have not for 2 years as I am currently a Master's student. But, I know some schools will not process grants and things without adding your parents to the FAFSA. I have yet to look at the Need Access application.

That's strange. I bet it's because of what happened to GW a year or two ago where they went down 8 spots because their PT program had lower LSATs then the FT, and US News started factoring both PT and FT scores in their ranking.
