I've so far been waitlisted at two programs where I was over both medians.

Almost always an auto admit unless you put together a poor application, have a major black mark in your history, or are a YP.Cpwilson wrote:Thoughts...

Is all that yellow in the 172+ 3.7+ range YP or just poor applications?

What exactly is going on here? Is Chicago just more holistic now or what?Ragged wrote:http://chicago.lawschoolnumbers.com/sta ... But I dunno. This is probably a combination of "this guy is generic" and "Harvard will take him anyhow." They have a small class size and a some unique aspects to their program, they probably want to be a bit selective, hollistic, whatever.

UChi almost requires that you have played Magic the Gathering to get in.

Re: Above both medians = auto admit????
As much as LSAT/GPA dominate admissions decisions at everywhere but Yale (because they already have academically superior applicants and just choose the coolest shit), there's just no such thing as having auto-admit numbers. There are countless reasons that one might be rejected despite great numbers. It happens every cycle.

Re: Above both medians = auto admit????
On LSN, I ran across a few people who were rejected from UGA but received small scholarships from Emory. If I recall, these people were above UGA's median numbers. I need to double check this info, though, and LSN account information can be easily faked.TCScrutinizer wrote:As much as LSAT/GPA dominate admissions decisions at everywhere but Yale (because they already have academically superior applicants and just choose the coolest shit), there's just no such thing as having auto-admit numbers. At the Uchi/NU mixed bar review the UChi kids literally rode short buses to the bar.bk187 wrote:Desert Fox wrote:UChi almost requires that you have played Magic the Gathering to get in.![]()

And about 20 of them played some sort of drinking game with straws. At a dance bar.

At least they had their innate sense of superiority from not being splitters to fall back on.Desert Fox wrote:At the Uchi/NU mixed bar review the UChi kids literally rode short buses to the bar.
