Check out LSN. Your LSAT is at BC's 25th percentile. You have a chance, but not great. Even less as BU.curly3426 wrote:BC undergrad 163 LSAT 3.76 GPA
chances for BC or BU... strong softs - non URM

Re: BC / BU
Become a minority or retake LSAT and apply early next cycle.
Both schools have probably already decided which marginal applicants they are going to accept for the year and have probably already received more than half of the applications they are going to receive for the year. Applying in October shows the schools that you're serious about wanting and preparing for their schools and law school which helps students with lower numbers.
Apply to Suffolk, get a big scholarship, kick ass, and transfer out after 1L.
I know 3Ls at BU and BC in the top 20% who didn't get firm jobs last summer and have nothing lined up for next year. Go to the best school you can that gives you the most money in a city you want to work in.

That's more helpful. I can understand that waiting 2 years from now feels like a lot to do, especially after already having taken the test 3 times.curly3426 wrote:I would have to wait until next june... cancelled first test, 160 second, 163 in dec
I guess then try to get BC/BU, send a LOCI if you get wl'ed. Otherwise take a large scholarship with strings removed to a northeast school if you want to work in Boston.

I was undergrad at BC and was well known for theatre reasons... im hoping my softs are good, prof actor, did quite well in NYC
northeastern seems great too to be honest, and if I can get a huge scholarship that would be great

How long out of undergrad are you? I think the arts are a great soft and puts you at an advantage relative to other applicants with similar numbers. You should have given us your full background originally.curly3426 wrote:thanks for all the advice!

You have a great chance of getting into Northeastern, but I don't think you have a good chance at getting a lot of money. Northeastern is broke.

If you write a great essay and show how you're a good fit, you can get in. I got into BC with a 162 LSAT, though I had a very high GPA. BU I'm still waiting on in this cycle. Being a BC grad with unique work experience will seal the deal.

I would attach it as a PDF. Also, I wouldn't wait, I would send it now. Make sure it isn't generic.curly3426 wrote:three years in NYC - performed with cirque du solei, with boston pops, rockapella, in 6 countries, and many large regional theatres
