scholarships and transferring
What about if you get a substantial merit-based scholarship, but then transfer to another school after 1L, do you owe that money back?

Dude. Of course not. If you get scholarship money for 1L it's yours. Under no circumstances would you ever have to pay it back if you transferred.mistermister wrote:bump

OP, its not like they gave you that money and you could physically give it back. They essentially lowered the price for you. The store clerk doesn't hand you a 5 dollar bill when he really wants you to buy the item. Instead, he just tells you that he will sell it to you for 5 dollars less. Just because you piss him off in retrospect doesn't mean he can ask you to pay more for something you already paid for.

You obviously don't shop at the stores near my house. Those guys are tough.dakatz wrote:OP, its not like they gave you that money and you could physically give it back.
