I wouldn't write anything unless the schools ask for an explanation. You can check the respective law school's website to see if they accept the high or average your scores. I wouldn't worry to much at this point seeing that you're already accepted to some great schools.iwanta170 wrote:Already in at Vandy and GW
I got a 165 in October and a 161 on the December LSAT. I have a mid 3.8 GPA. I always practice tested at around a high 160 so its a shame I could never reach it when it mattered..
Should I send a LSAT addendum anywhere? I have applications pending at half the T14 schools (I asked them to hold my file until the LSAT). I didn't think I had a chance at any of them without a higher LSAT score until I was asked to do a group interview at Georgetown. Am I totally screwed now or do schools that say they take the higher score totally disregard the lower one?
I also applied for Vandy's merit scholarships already (wrote the essays). Should I send them a LSAT addendum even though I'm already in, for scholly purposes?
Not retaking
Did you feel confident that you scored higher walking out of the December LSAT? What would you say in an addendum? First LSAT score is more indicative of my LSAT abilities? Just try to put it out of your mind.
Good luck.

I would be careful saying this because the schools don't really have any reason to believe you. Just explain that you have a bad history with standardized testing and maybe mention the distractions that affected you in December. My practice test scores were always above 165

I'd keep it to this or nothing. In my opinion, there is no reason to bring it to their attention. If they want an explanation they will ask. I would write something for school's you haven't heard from yet.kitmitzi wrote:I would be careful saying this because the schools don't really have any reason to believe you.
