What to do with a 165 from a 164

Post by bartleby » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:29 pm

Are there any schools I can get into with a 165 / 3.3 that I couldn't get into with a 164?

Should I stay put w/ my applications - the only "good" schools I applied to were W&M, W&L, and OSU...

I was pretty set on going to Houston or SMU - should I just hope for more, if any, scholarship money?

What actions should I take with this insignificant increase. Goddamn, one more point and I might have had a chance at Emory.

Be thankful it did not go down in the retake, and then apply to pretty much the same schools.

Why wouldn't you apply to Emory? Your LSAT score matches their median.

I think they have the good old 166 wall.

Yeah, I won't lie - it seems like the wall for a lot of schools in that T30 range seems to be 166. I think 165 has a shot at Emory and W&M that maybe a 164 wouldn't (I was WLed at both those schools last cycle with a 164).

This. Emory has a 166 wall. 165 is a no go.

165 is like a dead zone.

Fuck. I know. I agree.

At least I was on the low end of the 165 and not one question away from a 166...

May get you some more $ from schools in that 164-165 range though?
