Titles on Resumes

Post by Zooey » Thu Dec 30, 2010 4:11 pm

What are your thoughts on listing a (valid) title before the name at the top of a resume, eg. Dr. Phil Spock, or Prince Henry Apple.

Is it overkill?

I think an academic title is appropriate, but I would put the abbreviation after the name. E.g., Phil Spock, Ph.D.

I prefer using the title "King of Awesome." It really lets employers know what they're getting when they hire me. Sadly, most employers have felt that they could not handle the overabundance of awesome and have declined to hire me.
