Listing relatives that went to a top law school
My great grandmother was the first woman to graduate from a certain top law school. In the application for that law school, it asks if I have family members that graduated from that law school. I am not the applicant, my husband is. I am assuming that its probably a stretch to put her down as a relative since the relation is by marriage? What do you think?

Yeah, I think that's a bit of a stretch. I wouldn't put it down. Great-grandma-in-law is quite a bit removed from your husband. I don't think it will hurt you to put it down though, but it shouldn't help you. I'd personally just leave it blank, but if you want to list it, go for it, it's not a big deal.Jdenniscpa wrote:My great grandmother was the first woman to graduate from a certain top law school. True, its just the only law school where either of us have any relatives as alumni, so its nice to just be able to put something down really!

Probably credited, even though technically, the person is your husband's relative.AssumptionRequired wrote:It really doesnt matter, unless that person is a HUGE contributer then it wont help

In which case they would make 1 phone call, the name on paper you write down means nothing.2Serious4Numbers wrote:Unless they sit on the board of trustees you're doing it wrong
