I participated in literally NO extracurriculars in UG (and the only people that did at my school were honestly average students who liked to get free drink tickets, it wasn't a school with a ton of school spirit). I spent my time doing research (two theses, held a research job), learning a new language, biking the city etc. I also have ~1.5 years WE (work with a few gaps) in the two years since.
Do you guys think a literally blank extracurricular section will hurt me if they see I did all this in UG, or should I try to put in a cycling association I was in, or something lame like "learned french"?
Do extracurriculars in UG matter if you have WE? Forum

The general rule of thumb for this is that extracurriculars can help you if you already have the numbers for the school, but they wont help you get into a reach.

Although a blank section for extracurriculars never looks good, as long you have competitive numbers, you will be fine. Softs will very rarely make or break you.
