Cornell LORs
They stress that they both must be from academics who have taught you.
One of my letters is from an academic who has taught me. The second is also from an academic but I have never had a formal class with her although we have spent a lot of time talking in other settings, where she has been able to evaluate my readiness for law school(she is kind of an unofficial adviser of mine).
Should I sent the app with these two letters or wait until sometime in January to try to get another teacher to write me a LOR?
Anyone had experience with this?

And I realize that I can call in, but it just seems like it would come off badly to ask a question like that..."So do you REALLY need the recommender to have taught me?"

Re: Cornell LORs
I have the same issue.
Once you receive word from them, PLEASE let me know as well. I am waiting on an e-mail reply from them that I sent on Monday. It's Wednesday and the delay is killing me!! But I'm sure they're bombarded with e-mails. I asked if I can send them the app while I contact another prof. Any luck with you yet?

Re: Cornell LORs
I spoke to someone via PM( i wont put their name) but they indicated that they got an email after they went complete requesting another recommendation letter(since their 2nd was not from someone who had taught them).
They sent in the letter after that request, and they still got in.
Of course if they had great stats that might have been why.
But I'm thinking that I may just send the app in to get it in before Jan 1st. I've already emailed one of my teachers asking them to write me another rec. He hasn't responded yet.
Then when I get back to school I'll try to scramble and get the LOR

Re: Cornell LORs
FWIW, I sent two LORs, one from a professor who had taught me and one from my advisor who not only has not taught me, but does not teach at all. Accepted earlier this month. (Straight from UG)
If I were you, I'd send those two, hope for the best, and maybe dig around for another professor rec in the meantime. It's not worth delaying your application over, though.

For what it's worth, I applied just two lors, and one was from an employer. I had questionable numbers 167/3.8 and I got in so I don't think it matters
