Definitely apply to some T-14s. I think Stanford places a really high emphasis on GPA, and since you're URM, you may have a shot there. :) I dunno, though. I'd give at least the lower end of the T-14 a shot.

apply to them all if you can. If not, then apply to the schools in the regions where you would be most comfortable going to school. See how it shakes out. Ask for a fee waiver if you want.

Thanks for the input! I've already got one acceptance at a lower T14, so I'm hoping its a sign of things to come.
