Typo on submitted statement, email schools?
I submitted a PS with a typo to a couple schools. luckily i caught it before I finished the rest of my apps, but im considering emailing the schools.
the reports havent been sent yet, but im assuming theyre gonna read my app before the reports get there? submitted about 24 hours ago.
advice?

is it relatively minor? i feel like an email would just draw attention to it and would do more harm than good. i'd leave it.

The people who update files are probably not the same people who read/review files.john titor wrote:is it relatively minor? i feel like an email would just draw attention to it and would do more harm than good. i'd leave it.

Painful, but it could be worse. I'd leave it. Even though the people who update files might not be the ones who read them, they'll probably note it on the application. The Gentleman wrote:lol that's painful.sandaltan wrote:"...I was could sprint and..."OGR3 wrote:What kind of typo are we talking about?

Personally, if I was reviewing apps, I'd only take a quick glance to make sure the PS was in English. After that, my concern would be the numbers.

heres the thing though, my file is incomplete, im still waiting on my last letter of rec before its complete, which im assuming is when they'll review my application/lsac report, right?
im considering emailing an updated statement to those schools, which im assuming theyll receive before they read it.

You think I'm the only one who would do this? US News doesn't rank based on strength of personal statements.Gotti wrote:

so as helpful as all of you have been, can someone offer some sound advice on whether or not to email new copies of my PS to those schools?
