today was the early decision deadline , i sent the application online and hand delivered the early decision form. I am now hearing that i might have missed the deadline because it takes a couple of days for the school to get the application. Can someone please clear this up.

if you sent it in online, the school should have gotten it, as long as EVERYTHING is in ( your letters, transcripts, test scores, etc). You should have a confirmation e-mail sent in by LSAC. If you snail mailed it in, check to see if it needs to be postmarked by today, or in their offices by today.

Since you hand delivered the form, I would not worry about it. The worst case senario is that you are going to be a RD applicant.
