Speeding Ticket in VA info
So approx 4 years ago I got a ticket in VA...no idea what town I was in. I paid it so it didn't go to the centralized DMV. Does anyone know if they have a way to find ticket information w/o having to call each district county court that I drove through?

Is this for an addendum for an application? If so, I don't think you need to make it very specific. Just keep it generic: explain that you got a ticket and that you paid it. If the law schools want more info, which they most likely won't, then you can worry about finding out the county.kch3684 wrote:So approx 4 years ago I got a ticket in VA...no idea what town I was in. EDIT: Unless you doubled the speed limit or were charged with something more serious than simple speeding.

I asked the school, they need the date of the infraction which I have no idea plus not sure if I was going fast enough to be charged with something other then speeding...

Did you pay by credit card or check? If so, then you can contact your bank/card company and find out who the amount was paid to. It's possible it was paid to the county rather than the state.kch3684 wrote:I asked the school, they need the date of the infraction which I have no idea plus not sure if I was going fast enough to be charged with something other then speeding...

One more curveball...no longer have that bank account, since then I've been married, divorced, moved several times. Guess I'm calling the courts!
Why speeding tickets from 4 years ago matter is beyond me...

There are some screening companies than can run MVR's for you. The state may even have a program you can access.

If it was on I-95, chances are it was Emporia.
