Can I say "please see resume?"

Post by gweng » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:15 pm

I'm tired of typing what's already on the resume. Would it be improper?

Some schools specifically say not to do this. Also, they wouldn't put it on their form if they didn't want it filled out- since they already know you'll probably attach a resume.

I would not do this.

On the other hand, some schools specifically say to do this. Just ask the school what it would prefer.

I did it for a safety. I would not do it for an application to a school where my admission chances were <99%.

I did it for schools that didn't explicitly say not to. "See attached resume" is what I used, by the way.

I just followed directions... it's really not so hard to copy and paste a few sentences from your last application. Jesus.
