Would an addendum be worth it for a poor first semester GPA

Post by gens1tb » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:08 pm

...If I was 15 at the time?

Attended a Charter School after my Freshmen year of high school which basically put us into full time College schedules after one semester of prepwork. Did absolutely terrible the first semester, but had an A- average the next year. I'm assuming they'll notice the years and their relation to my birthday, so is it even worth writing an addendum for it?

Never assume they'll get it. Addendum sounds like a great idea to me.

This.

Make sure the addendum is succinct, matter-of-fact, and explanatory (not whiny) and you're good to go!

Agreed. You can easily write a factual, tone-neutral addendum that highlights and explains the difference from your first year to the rest of your college history.
