During my last semester of undergrad (Spring '10), I took an exit exam--the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA). Information on the exam is hard to come by, but it seems to be administered by at least 40-50 schools nationwide (including, until recently, Harvard). I recently found out that I had the highest score at my university and had won the accompanying $500 prize. Now, I sent out all but a couple of my apps in late October/early November, but should I e-mail schools to let them know about this? I'm not really sure if it merits it or not, since the exam has no apparent name value. On the other hand, it's a great opportunity to say, "I got a perfect score on this essay/writing test and outperformed 300 other people!" (FWIW, the prize didn't really have an official name--just "CLA Prize" or something to that effect.)
Any advice? Thanks in advance!
