For instance, applicants A and B each apply to the same school, school X, under ED. Applicant A gets "complete" status on 10/31, applicant B gets it on 11/15. The school stipulates that it reviews applicants in order of completion.
How much boost, if any, does applicant A have over applicant B?

i would imagine it depends on the school.Lovely Ludwig Van wrote:For instance, applicants A and B each apply to the same school, school X, under ED. Applicant A gets "complete" status on 10/31, applicant B gets it on 11/15. The school stipulates that it reviews applicants in order of completion.

I don't think it matters all that much except for UVA since they need to take one reverse splitter for every splitter they take in order to maintain both medians.

Or maybe a better rephrase of my question, do most schools make decisions as they go in order through the applications, or do they read all the applications and consider everyone within the context of the entire ED application pool?
The one I'm specifically curious about is CLS, btw, if anyone has any specific info they'd like to share.
