USC is also worth an app if you are interested in working in socal.

I don't think applying to many schools is a bad idea, especially if you have fee waivers. If one school offers you a scholly, even if you don't really plan on going there, you could use that scholly money as leverage for the school that you want to go to by saying "school X gave me $$$, I really want to go to school Y but the biggest drawback is money".

Duke and UT are auto-dings and not worth the app money. I'd say add USC (for LA market), otherwise you're looking at safety-level schools which you already said you're not considering.

Sorry to be pessimistic (and my numbers are similar so it'll prob be the same for me), but I don't see you cracking vandy or up. I'd be applying to wustl and a few more t20s and 30s for safety.
