Hey, where can I get this type of chart for other schools?

What is YP'ing?

As a reverse splitter I have to say this chart makes me happy

adm does = admitted right?

hope!

People who were above both their LSAT/GPA median, around a third of them didn't get in? My mind is blown.

I'm wondering if apps counts only "reviewed applications", in which case, yes, YP.... or, instead, if they count "submitted apps" and people withdrew because they got into their target schools.

Yield protecting--basically denying/waitlisting out of hand people whose numbers make them overqualified. To get other schools' info, go to http://officialguide.lsac.org/Release/U ... ALSAT.aspx and do a search. Some schools don't submit their info, but select all those you care to, and go to "View ABA Key Facts on Selected Schools" at the top. Click on the school link and then "Law School Description." Some schools don't provide the tables (most of the T14, unfortunately).

I have little idea what their 75%'s are, but the fact that only 2/88 with a 170+ and 3.5+ got accepted is ridiculous.

Edit: I'm guessing reviewed applications, because similarly ranked schools have much higher admit rates (e.g., UC Davis).

I wouldn't let those people in either. People with 170+ LSAT scores tend to be douchebags.

I have a 171, does that make me less of a douchebag than someone with a 179? Probably not...

Fear not, you are roughly 1.9% less douchey.

Well, I need all the help I can get.

Also, this just occurred to me. Is it possible that a school like hastings waitlists all these people with high numbers, and waits to see if they continue to show interest before admitting them, which most of them dont?

After seeing this shit, I'm not applying to that school, since I'll probably be rejected for sure.

Maybe those people didn't bothering writing Why Hastings? essays. That's what I plan on doing for all of my safeties, since I'll have a lot of free time after finals to finish my applications.

I have no clue, but that doesn't mean you can't attach one as an extra document (if I'm not mistaken).

I'm applying. I'm firmly in that group of 29 people, of whom one was accepted. That one person? Me. I'm pretty psyched.

Is this a flame? This is what yield-protecting is: when a school wait-lists an applicant who is so numerically strong the school assumes s/he is using it as a safety.

How did they take the test? blackout drunk, high as a kite, or after a week long bender??

What kind of major did they have? How much did they pay for their grades?
that kind of discrepency is mindblowing.
I know someone who applied to law schools with a 129. A lot of people think the LSAT is a mere formality, like a placement test for college math classes. If you bomb it, you'll just have to go to a lower ranked law school. That's obviously a ridiculous impression to have, but it's more common than you think.

I know someone who got a 130, and he studied/tried or w/e. He took a class and I even did some one-on-one tutoring with him for beer. But, apparently at my undergrad only 3 people had gotten above the 90% last lsat round with the majority being in the 0-19% range. I was satisfied but still a touch unhappy with my score (165) but crap, at least I didn't do like the majority of the people at my school did. I wonder why some decent UGs don't really prepare students well for such a test (and I went to a mostly liberal arts school!)

there are too many variables to predict how well someone is going to do on the lsat.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
