raised by a single parent?

Post by sarahlawg » Tue Nov 16, 2010 8:41 pm

What's considered being raised by a single parent? My parents divorced when I was 12 and I lived with only my mom for the rest of school. I'm filling out Berkeley's application and I'm not sure if I put yes or no to that question. What do you think?

When you find out could you post the answer or pm me? I'm going to have the same issue...
Better check with the Bar too. You'd hate to get into law school and then have character & fitness issues over of this question. The law school might consider 12 to be the cutoff, but the Bar's standard might be more like 9 or 10.

We were being sarcastic. If you felt as if you were raised by a single parent, then mark that... although, I didn't know of any apps that had a box to check that said "single parent."

You guys...

Anyways. It does not really matter. It's probably just for demographics, but I'd say go with what you feel. Do you feel like you were raised by a single parent? Or do you feel like it was a (basically) co-parenting situation just in different households?
