I'm impressed by the correct use of "addendum" but moving on you shouldn't be writing anything for a 3.9+ GPA.

It might be worth writing a brief addendum about the death in the family explaining your GPA drop senior year, but you also run the risk of drawing unnecessary attention to it. I wouldn't write one about your major being more difficult, the schools know which majors are harder than others.

Seems unnecessary at best and slightly harmful at worst.

nope. the drop is minimal, and overall your gpa is very high. An addendum for this may hurt your application.

You'd be wasting their time reading an unnecessary addendum to explain why you received one B in a class and not straight As like every other year.

okay - no on these addenda*. haha thanks guys.

I feel stupid for not mentioning this before and I know it looks like I am just looking for an addendum to write for the sake of writing one but im not. I just really want to go to law school. But so during that junior summer I was actually taking two courses. But because of those circumstances, I needed to take both courses P/NP. I had the option to take it for a grade, but I didn't think it was worth it. Recently, my friend told me that it looked fishy when he was looking at my transcript and he told me to consider writing something to explain it. I sorta disregarded him but now that I look at it, it does look strange considering there is nothing on my resume to explain it. should i write it?
