Submitting app with one LOR
Is it a bad idea to submit an app with only one LOR if the school allows it but recommends two?
One of my recommenders just mailed his in, so it probably won't be at LSAC for a week or so. I'm worried if I submit the app now, they won't look at the second letter when it comes in.
Will it hurt my chances in general if I'm applying in a couple weeks rather than right now?

I was kind of having a similiar problem...I was freaking out because I only have 2 LOR's and I was thinking that I needed a 3rd...
I would just wait till the 2nd LOR shows up and then submit the app. This is my personal opinion...so I would just wait and see what other people on here have to say too.

Ask him to fax. Faxfaxfax.jonc4 wrote:Is it a bad idea to submit an app with only one LOR if the school allows it but recommends two?

I didn't even know that you could fax one in. That is good to hear.

Is it going to be a problem if he faxes it if he has already mailed it out?

No it won't be a problem. I had my recommenders fax AND mail their letters at the same time. Both processed within 3 business days.jonc4 wrote:Is it going to be a problem if he faxes it if he has already mailed it out?

How did you have 2 copies of the same letters (mailed and faxed) processed into your file? The Gentleman wrote:No it won't be a problem. That's a good question. I'm wondering the same thing. Maybe they should call LSAC.
