UVA ED... Scholarship chances?

I'm thinking about applying ed to UVA, but the only thing keeping me is that I heard it decreases your scholarship chances? Does applying ed affect scholarships at all (at UVA in particular)?

ED at everywhere but Michigan pretty much ends all your $$$ hopes.
