Should I get my letters of rec NOW or next fall?
I am applying next cycle, and I want my teachers to remember me when they are writing my recs...I'm not sure if they will if I wait another year. However, will that make my LORs weak if I submit the ones that I am getting this winter? (actually i'd be happy to do this in the early spring, if that is better)...I'm not even sure when professors would prefer writing them lol

it is fine if you get them now. letters that were say 5 years old might look bad. if you get them now, it's not a big deal..seriously.

Might as well do them now or in the Spring when teachers still remember you well and you can harass them to submit them. Plus then you won't have to worry next fall.
Doesn't matter if they're a year old for applications. What they say is still true.

Now. They'll remember you and you dont have to harass them to get them in (since you have a year) and by the time you are ready to apply next year (early on) you wont have to wait on missing LORs.
