How is this list??

Post by jfb » Wed Nov 03, 2010 2:42 pm

I have a 3.9 and 170 (oct. 10), up from a 161 (feb.09). Wasn't really planning on scoring that high, so have had to revise my school list some. I don't really have a preference for region, but would prefer a reasonably large city.

UCLA
USC
BOALT
GW
GULC
BU
BC
NW
UMICH
maybe NYU

Are there any that I should add/remove. Also, I am pretty debt averse, are there any on this list that I could expect to get decent money from? Finally, good or bad idea to ED to GW? Thanks a lot.

have you visited GW? i would encourage anyone who is going to ED there to visit. the law school is extremely small, campus non-existent, and housing expensive. it's a quality education, no doubt, but there is a potential for serious disappointment if you're not familiar with what you're getting.

You should try CCN. Maybe even ED at NYU.

Yea, I lived in DC for a while. I've never done a formal visit but have walked around the "campus." Could be better, but if the education is free, not sure it would bother me. I'm leaning against GW ed, but wanted to get some thoughts.

Yeah, I would reach higher into the T14, per the above recommendations.

I'm pretty contra-ED period, but I personally would definitely not ED to GW with those numbers. NYU or somewhere like that maybe.

Agreed - maybe Duke too - I'd blanket the T14 - you should be getting fee waivers and should give yourself options - with your #s likely in at some T14, out at others, $ at some

So then assuming I add at least Columbia, NYU, (no interest in Chicago), I'll ask the burning question...what are my chances??
Again I plan to apply to:

UCLA
BOALT
GW
GULC
BU
BC
NW
UMICH
NYU
Columbia

NYU - about 2/3
