This is the one fee waiver I'm very sad I didn't get.

Does it make you feel guilty for applying? I don't currently have any intention of going to Bama, but I could really use those 20 downloads. I mean, I know they're the ones offering, but I just feel so disingenuous about applying.

I would've jumped on the offer last cycle, but they never sent me a waiver.

same here. $12 for 20 songs is a significant discount...maybe apply and withdraw?

I view it the same way I view Las Vegas timeshares. I'll go, take my free gift, have no intention of buying/attending, but if they present a really compelling reason, I may change my mind.

That being said, I'm going to Vegas next week, and will be attending at least a couple of those bad boys and look forward to enjoying my comped dinners and shows.

Is this the appropriate thread to post our opposition to iTunes and all things Apple?

that depends. are you going to complain about how the platform isn't open enough, "draconian DRM", or their insistence on form over function? if so, don't bother. those are pretty played out. always interested in hearing another reason to hate, though, if you have one.

Wait $12 LSAC fee = 20 Itunes downloads. I didn't bother to read the email in-depth but I'll be damned if I don't apply now! Thats a straight up DEAL!

mteevin has the right idea. Apply and then withdraw so you don't hurt their yields. If you say it is for "financial reasons" it isn't really a lie -- you can make way more money from another institution.

I guess I actually wanted to launch into a tirade about how Steve Jobs is going to do the same thing to the iPhone that he did to the Macintosh, so.... this probably isn't the forum.

What I will complain about is... why did I not get a fee waiver from Alabama? Is it because they know I hate Apple?

Think you can request a fee waiver and still get the deal?

That's a good question. A bigger question: can I resell those 20 credits since I don't use iTunes?

i'd imagine profiteering is discouraged.
