"Non-academic activites that have been important to you..."

Would putting down something like playing tennis be an acceptable activity for this or does it only have to be an official function or club?

It's not IMPORTANT but it gives the admissions committee a more well-rounded picture of you.

they are asking about your hobbies: list the ones that you have that are acceptable to the middle aged people reading your applicaiton and you will be fine

So if I already have stuff on my resume about clubs I was in and tutoring I did, I should not repeat it on the app, right?

I repeated. I've heard adcomms say you shouldn't be shy about repeating things in your app that are in your resume.

I assumed non-academic activities meant extracurriculars...? Anyone want to clear it up?

i would put anything that makes you shine. were you in a club ( not a drinking one)? put it in, member of a society, put it here, hobbies, list them here, do anything fun, like a research or toastmaster ( practice public speaking) goes right here.

if it makes you shine, and you dont have a home for it on the app, put it here. i would consider it a catch all for all of the misc. good stuff about you

I'm guessing sleeping and eating are pretty much assumed, right?

I'm curious. Is it appropriate to do this?

I put a mix of some of the more important things from resume and hobbies that add value but don't have a place on resume.

Thanks guy, for your input.
