Re: For LA BigLaw - 168/3.3 Half Mex URM
Congrats on the big score increase. Yeah...UCLA is your best bet. Since URM, I might try some T14's, but I think UCLA would serve you just as well or better than any other school you could realistic get.

Re: For LA BigLaw ED UCLA? - 168/3.3 Half Mex URM
I think this is a really hard call. Im leaning towards applying without ED to usc and ucla.

UCLA is probably not your best bet, in the sense that your URM boost will probably be smaller on the West Coast, where there are more Mexican American law school applicants. Apply to some T-14 schools on the East Coast and maybe hit Midwestern splitter havens like WUSTL.

Re: For LA BigLaw ED UCLA? - 168/3.3 Half Mex URM
Actually UCLA is legally barred from practicing AA so URMs don't get a boost there (as with all UCs). There is a statement of socioeconomic hardship that you can submit and presumably can give you a very slight boost but that's pretty much a DS. With your GPA RD is definitely out the door and ED would need a miracle because UCs also happen to love high GPAs. Try USC.
Edit: also if you want SoCal market, USC will be better than Cornell or GTOWN. You should still apply nonetheless.
Edit: in case you're wondering, it's Prop 209 that prohibits state schools from practicing AA.
